Frequently Asked Questions

Tattoo

  • Please fill out our consultation form here! Be as specific as possible. You may also include any additional information regarding your tattoo, along with reference photos as well. These all help us to understand your project and create the best possible design for you!

If you would like to schedule a real-time consultation via Google Hangout, please feel free to let us know! This call comes at no additional cost, and is recommended if you have any particular concerns best communicated verbally rather than via email. if you have any questions, feel free to send us your concern through our Contact page!

  • Flash tattoos can be booked through the Flash Shop! Simply add your desired design(s) to cart, fill out the additional information form, and check out. We will reach back to you to schedule your appointment after successfully receiving your order.

  • To secure your appointment and tattoo design, a $100 deposit via Venmo or Paypal is required, which will be deducted from the final total of the tattoo as well. This deposit also covers the time and energy for custom sketches as a design fee.

You must give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment, otherwise your deposit will be forfeited. If you cancel or reschedule more than twice, you must send a new deposit in order to make an appointment with us again.

  • The minimum for any tattoo is $150 regardless of size, location, or design. Since the total pricing is dependent on a multitude of factors, we can only offer an estimated range before any sketches are made based on the information you provide in your consultation form. If you have a specific budget you would like to stay within, please note this in your form, and we will do our best to create a design that falls inside said price range!

  • All sketches and mockups will be prepared beforehand, and you will be able to see your design at the time of your appointment. We will have a thorough discussion in regards to size, placement, and any additional modifications as well. If you have a specific style in mind for your piece, please make sure to attach reference photo in your form so that we may design your tattoo accordingly!

  • Please get lots of rest the day before! Sleep and eat well, and please come to your appointment on a full stomach. Feel free to bring bottled water, especially if your tattoo will take several hours to complete. Please wear light and comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the bodily location that will be tattooed.

Do NOT consume any alcohol or drugs before your tattoo appointment. If you have any health concerns and/or allergies, please communicate them to us beforehand. We do not tattoo those who are pregnant and/or breastfeeding, and only tattoo those who are 18+ only, even with parental consent.

  • You will most likely be given second skin (Recovery Derm) as a medical bandage for your tattoo afterwards. For standard tattoos, please keep the bandage on for 1 - 3 days. It is best removed in the shower soaked in water, while pulling away from the skin.

After the bandage is removed, wash once a day and reapply antibacterial ointment as needed (ex., Aquaphor, A&D ointment, unscented body lotion, etc.) Flaking and itching are normal, as the initial healing process usually takes 1 - 3 weeks.

Once your tattoo is fully healed, longterm aftercare is just as important! Exfoliate and moisturize regularly, and make sure to wear SPF (especially for color pieces) if you plan on exposing your tattoo in the sun.

  • Your first retouch is complimentary within the first year of your getting your tattoo. If you feel your tattoo is in need of a retouch (post healing), please fill out our form here, and we will find a time to schedule you in. Please make sure to take a photo of your tattoo in broad daylight with a frontal view, so we can see the condition of the piece beforehand.

Tarot

  • To book for Tarot as an add-on, please fill out one of our tattoo booking forms (either a custom consultation form, or through the enlight ink “flash shop”). There will be a question asking whether or not you are interested in adding Tarot to your session; make sure to toggle “Yes” to receive more information on how to move forward.

  • Tarot is done at the beginning of the tattoo session, and can last anywhere between thirty minutes to an hour. Through tarot and the tattoo design of choice, together we will thoroughly divulge any particular concerns you might have.

  • ENtuitive Tattooing (a combination of “enlightenment” + “intuitive”) is a tattoo program that combines Tarot and tattooing in a profound way to offer even more in-depth answers and deep healing. Tarot sessions are scheduled at least one week in advance and range anywhere from one to two hours to comprehensively understand the client, what they may be going through, and what steps to take moving forward. From the tarot session, a design is then created specifically for that client–completely tailored in style, placement, and energy. With the hopes that this body modification holds even more spiritual depth and strength, the tattoo imbues vitality and faith in the client to continue on powerfully in their own personal journey.

Tarot simply as an add-on is suited for clients who a) already have a set design in mind for their tattoo, and b) have more direct / simple questions or concerns to be divulged. Tarot as an add-on is also a more fun, easy, and low-stakes introduction to card divination as opposed to ENtuitive readings, which are often more emotional and heavy-handed.

  • If you are naturally drawn towards ENtuitive Tattooing, chances are it is already calling to you! ENtuitive Tattooing is most suitable for clients who are going through transitional periods, recognizing their true potential and are having trouble moving forward, or are feeling lost and wishing for deeper guidance in general. If you have also been longing for a tattoo and have no attachment to any specific design, ENtuitive Tattooing is also a great way to discover imagery that will fit you personally and intimately.

  • Tarot is a medium with the ability to give us both strong guidance and a more connected sense of self. Though it certainly is not a necessity in having a fruitful tattoo session, it can lend a deep, meaningful perspective to your piece, especially if the tattoo you are receiving is in regards to something close to your heart.

  • Currently at this time, Tarot sessions as an add-on are on a “Pay What You Can” basis: you are welcome to add however much you’d like in terms of payment to the final total of your tattoo (excluding tip). This choice is not only to keep accessibility open to all, but to also provide healing guidance to those who may come from, but not limited to: marginalized communities, low-income families, financially unstable circumstances, etc.

For our ENtuitive tattooing program, a deposit of $100 is required to secure the time and date for your Tarot session. Once the initial reading has been completed, if you feel ready to move forward, another $100 deposit is required to secure an additional time and date for the actual tattoo session itself. However, if for whatever reason you may feel unready or unprepared for the tattoo, you may choose to divert the appointment to a later time when you feel more comfortable.

*The only exception to the ENtuitive Tattooing Tarot deposit is for enlight ink Patreon members, who benefit from a “Pay What You Can” basis regardless of appointment type. For more information or to sign up for enlight ink’s Patreon, please click here.

Reiki

  • To book for Reiki as an add-on, please fill out one of our tattoo booking forms (either a custom consultation form, or through the enlight ink “flash shop”). There will be a question asking whether or not you are interested in adding Reiki to your session; make sure to toggle “Yes” to receive more information on how to move forward.

  • Reiki is incorporated through either 30 minute or 60 minute sessions after tattooing. Depending on the length of session you prefer, Reiki will be administered to the majority of the body and also the tattoo itself.

  • Reiki is administered through hovering or placing hands along certain parts of the body. What you are or are not comfortable with can and will be thoroughly discussed at the time of your appointment!

  • The effects of how Reiki feels and how one feels afterwards can vary depending on each person–examples are: tingling sensations, feeling cold/hot, increased energy, wooziness. Regardless of how you may or may not feel, it is recommended to drink lots of water and stay well-rested after your session as much as possible.

  • Currently at this time, Reiki sessions as an add-on are on a “Pay What You Can” basis: you are welcome to add however much you’d like in terms of payment to the final total of your tattoo (excluding tip).
